The Down East Spring Birding Festival is being administered by the Cobscook Community Learning Center in partnership with local organizations.

You may wish to make a copy of your completed registration form before mailing. You will receive a registration confirmation about two weeks after we receive your registration form. The confirmation will include each event for which you have been scheduled.

You can request — by mail (to the address above), by telephone (207-733-2233), or by — that we mail a registration packet to you. Alternatively, you can download the key components of the registration packet by using the links below.

Whichever method you use to receive registration packet information, you still must mail in a completed registration form, as explained above.

    Please fill out this form and mail to the address above. You can find out all price information regarding the bird festival on this page. Many events are included in the festival's $65 base price. Meals and boat trips have added fees associated with them, ranging from $7 (for a lunch-time meal) to $95 (for a 5-hour boat trip to Machias Seal Island).

  1. List of Lodgings
    This list sets forth those area accommodations who have chosen to sponsor the festival. We ask that you patronize our sponsors to the greatest extent possible.
     
  2. America’s Birdiest City/County Rules - 2011
    Birdathons are conducted in the United States and other countries during April – May to see how many different birds can be identified in a city or county during one 72-hour period. The ABC/C Birdathon for Washington County, Maine, will be conducted during the Down East Spring Birding Festival. Registrants will receive a copy of these rules in their Welcome Packets when they check in.

    Information about our hiking guides, boat/canoe/kayak trip leaders, and presenters.
     
  5. Rack card
    This is the Festival’s standard-sized (3 3/4" x 8 1/2") card that provides general information and contact information. It might be found in brochure racks. We will mail one or more to you upon request.
     
  6. Sponsors
    You may wish to print a list of our current sponsors. They are also listed on our Sponsors page.

  7. Cancellations
    If you need to cancel, a full refund of your festival fees paid will be made if we receive the cancellation by May 6, 2011.  If we receive notice between May 7 and 16, a 50% refund will be made.  No refund will be given for cancellations received on or after May 16.



  8. Registration for Single Days or Single Events

Programs provided by Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) are free and are open to the public.
