Friday, May 27 Festival HQ at Moosehorn NWR at the YCC Building in Baring

9:00 am – 2:00 pm Cutler. Puffin Trip to Machias Seal Island (Capt. Andy Patterson, $95 fee)

Noon – 5:30 pm Baring/MNWR. Festival HQ and Registration Table Open

Noon & 12:30 pm Baring/MNWR. 20 min. slide presentation on the Warblers of Moosehorn

1 pm Baring/MNWR. Opening Remarks

1 pm ABC/C Birdathon Competition Begins – Washington County

1:15 – 2:30 pm Baring/MNWR. Opening Presentation: Birding Equipment: Birding Optics, Gear and More (Carroll Tiernan)

2:30 – 5:30 pm Baring/MNWR. Afternoon Hikes (Warbler Walk and more) (Refuge Staff)

6 pm – 8 pm Maine Indian Education Center - Welcome Social and Presentation “Birding by Ear” by Bob Duschene Light Dinner ($17.50 per person)

Saturday, May 28 Festival HQ at Moosehorn NWR at the YCC Building in Baring

6 am – 9 am Eastport. Shackford Head State Park Hike (Roland LaVallee)

6:30 am – 9 am Perry. Birding at Pottle Tree Farm (Fred & Linda Gralenski / Larry Lane)

6:45 am – 11 am Baring/MNWR. Morning Hikes (Refuge Staff)

7 am – 3 pm Topsfield. Burn Road Hike (Marion Bates)

8 am – Noon Edmunds. Cobscook Bay Kayak Trip. (Steve Ftorek, $40 fee) - Cancelled

Sunday, May 29 Festival HQ at the Cobscook Community Learning Center in Trescott

6:30–10:30 am Lubec. Morong Point Hike (Ed & Debbie Hawkes)

6:30 – 10:30 am Cutler/Trescott: Norse Pond/Moose Cove (Kirk Gentalen, MCHT)

7 – 10:30 am Lubec: Boot Head Preserve (Dr. Herb Wilson)

7 am – 4 pm Trescott/Cobscook Bay region. All day van excursion (Bob and Sandi Duchesne) This event is full. You may still register, but you will be placed on the waiting list.

10 am – 8 pm Trescott. Festival HQ open at the Cobscook Community Learning Center

11 am – 1 pm Dennysville: Canoe Paddle, Great Works Pond (Bill Robinson: $30 fee)

11 am – 12:30 pm Red Beach: St. Croix International park. Interactive presentation with park ranger

12:30 – 1:30 Trescott/CCLC. Birding Optics, Gear and More (Carroll Tiernan, $7 fee includes lunch) - Cancelled

2:00 – 3:30 pm Red Beach: St. Croix International Park. Interactive presentation with park ranger

2 – 4:30 pm Trescott/CCLC. Nature Sketching and Journaling - This event is full. You may still register, but you will be placed on the waiting list.

2 pm – 5 pm Trescott. Lazy Day Birding (Fred Hartman)

5:30 pm Trescott. Dinner and evening activities / entertainment at the CCLC. ($20 fee)

6:30 – 9 pm Edmunds MNWR. Wildlife and Woodcock Management Hike (Bill Kolodnicki & Barry Southard) (There may be a drive to guarantee woodcock sightings, followed by a short hike. Participants should be prepared to drive/carpool to a designated location.)

Monday, May 30 Festival HQ at the Cobscook Community Learning Center in Trescott

6 – 10 am Trescott/CCLC. Commissary Point & Leighton Point Hike (Rich McDonald)

6 – 10 am Campobello, NB. RCIP Duck Ponds & Liberty Point Hike (Chris Bartlett) - This event is full. You may still register, but you will be placed on the waiting list

6 – 10 am Campobello, NB. RCIP Friar’s Head and Eagle Hill Bog Hike (Daphne Savage) - This event is full. You may still register, but you will be placed on the waiting list.

7 – 9 am Edmunds. Intertidal Walk and Talk and Friedman Field Station. (Dr. Carl Merrill) - This event is full. You may still register, but you will be placed on the waiting list.

9:30 – 11:30 am Eastport. Birdwatching Cruise (Capt. Butch Harris, $45 fee) (Guide; TBD)

1 – 2 pm Trescott/CCLC. ABC/C Bird Count Ends. Informal Summary Discussions at Festival HQ

7 – 10 pm Trescott/CCLC. Old Time Music Jam. Listeners and musicians welcome. Regular community event – festival participants invited. Refreshments. Donation welcome.
